Our Core Promise: Your app blocking choices and vault configurations stay on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to information about which apps you block.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, hashed password, and name.
• Support Communications: If you contact us for support, we may collect information you provide in those communications.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device:

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us:

• Vault configurations (names, locations, shapes, colors, icons)
• App and website blocking selections
• Screen Time settings and restrictions

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Authenticate you when you log in
• Provide password reset functionality
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve and maintain Vault

We do not use your information for:

• Advertising or marketing to third parties
• Selling or renting to third parties
• Building profiles about your app usage habits

4. Third-Party Services

Supabase (Authentication Provider):

We use Supabase to securely manage user authentication. Supabase receives and stores:

• Your email address
• Your hashed password
• Your name
• Account creation date

Apple Screen Time Framework:

Vault uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to enable app blocking. All Screen Time data is managed by Apple's system and protected by Apple's privacy policies. We have no access to this data.

5. Location Data

Why We Need Location Access:

Vault requires "Always" location permission to detect when you enter or exit your vault zones, even when Vault is running in the background.

How Location Data Is Handled:

• Location data is processed entirely on your device
• We do not transmit your location to our servers
• We do not store your location history
• We do not share your location with third parties
• You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings, although you will lose access to Vault's core functionality

6. Data Retention

• Account Data: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
• Local Data: Vault data stored on your device is automatically deleted when you log out or uninstall the App.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for location tracking and screen time access (via device Settings)
• Export your data upon request

Account Deletion:

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion:

• Your Supabase account data will be permanently removed
• Any local data on your device will remain until you log out or uninstall the App

8. Children's Privacy

Vault is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at contact@getvault.info, and we will delete such information.

Users between 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent to use Vault.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• The right to know what personal information we collect
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your information)
